Longing to Suspend

Longing to Suspend is a response to the Archiv der Avantgarden – Egidio Marzona, its collection, architecture, and the exhibition Building Worlds.
Visionary Architecture in the 20th Century.
Situated between dance and performance, the work reflects on the archive as both structure and living entity. It approaches the body as an archive in itself - a
site where personal and collective histories intersect and remain in motion.
Bringing together archival material, personal text, video, and sound, the piece constructs a layered landscape in which fragments coexist without resolution. The audience is invited into a shifting constellation of materials that resist linear narration and instead unfold through association and poetic addresses.

As part of a fellowship in cooperation with HELLERAU, in 2023, Nitsan Margaliot has researched topics like dance, performance, queerness and Fluxus in the collection of the ADA.
